Questions

Scan Document FAQs

Does scanning upload my photos?

No. Camera frames, gallery files, warped pages, and OCR text stay in this browser tab. There is no document upload API.

Is the PDF searchable?

If you leave on-device OCR enabled, English text is added as an invisible layer. Accuracy varies with lighting, handwriting, and language. You can turn OCR off for a faster image-only PDF.

Why can’t I use the camera?

The camera needs a secure context (HTTPS or localhost) and permission. Import from gallery still works if the camera is blocked.
