Questions
Redact PDF FAQs
Can someone recover redacted text?
The selected region is rasterized and filled, so that text should not remain in the output text layer. Always spot-check the download.
Why does the page become an image?
Permanent redaction requires replacing page content. Selectable text on that page is discarded by design.
Does this replace metadata cleaning?
No. Redaction targets visible regions. Run Remove Metadata separately if properties also need clearing.
